Alabama Church Shooting Brings Distraught over Congregations

Last Sunday morning during a worship service at Oasis Tabernacle Church, a young 24- year old woman and her newborn child were shot by her ex-boyfriend. The shooter, James Junior Minter, came into the service, sat between them and attempted to murder them in front of the eyes of the members.

Unfortunately, the pastor of the church, attempting to bring peace over the situation, was also shot and injured in his leg. Gracefully, the rest of the congregants grabbed the weapon of Minter, causing him to flee from the congregation. Police and officials caught him
running away from the incident.

Currently, the baby’s father is in custody, and is currently accused of opening fire and attempted murder. The mother is in critical condition, being shot twice, in her shoulder and her jaw. Her child was wounded in the hand, and the pastor in his leg.

There have been various questions about what triggered the incident; many people claim that there were relationship problems, domestic violence, and issues surrounding their child.

It’s time to pray for our congregations, so that God continues to shine His light over them and prevent sorrowful incidents from occurring.
