Blessed are the Ones who Wait (Isaiah 40:31)

Source: Are You Living Patience is a Virtue?

This was a tremendous blog post! Some times we get discouraged when we don’t see breakthrough. It is important to know that God is always working and he never abandons us! We have to trust in him and his word!

If the blessing doesn’t come right away, there are areas that he deals with us before he brings the blessing! That is why I felt to write this poem in response to Isaiah 40:31: “but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Blessed are the ones who wait upon me
I will renew their souls and their hearts
Those who lie prostrate on their knees
I will dress their feet to run very far

Patience is a burden when you’re waiting at night
But I’m testing your heart through this difficult time
Why are you upset that the blessings haven’t come?
Will that make you believe less, that I am God?

You are furious that I removed your allies
But in the spirit, they were the real enemy
I don’t bless my children prematurely
I await the right time so that they give praise to me

As I prepare your heart, I’m charging you inside
Constructing endurance to race through the roads of life
Through this trial, I’m shaping you to be my man of God
Be still, and know that I am forever your God
