John 14: 21
“Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.”
I went to a conference earlier this month from our church that completely transformed me. I didn’t expect to be completely wrecked by God. My eyes look like I was crying for hours because of how strong and mighty the presence of God was inside of the arena. Our apostle Guillermo Maldonado spoke about some truths regarding supernatural encounters that awed me, that I wanted to share with you all:
The first thing that happens during an encounter with God is that we are left impacted.
My walk with God has been a series of encounters with him. Each one leaves me more amazed at the last, and I continue to pursue after him based on the ones I have had. Every experience strikes me more, and it pushes me to know him more. God reminds me in every encounter that he is the most exciting, interesting, and intriguing person to know in this life!
The second that happens in an encounter is that we are transformed.
It is great to have an impulse to go after God! Just as mentioned… the encounters leave us impacted and searching for more. But one other fact is that encounters transform us. It is impossible for me to stay the same after encountering him. Something clicks in my spirit every time. I feel a vibration, a sensation, or even a touch from him.
One of the ways I know God impacted me for real is when I open my eyes after the encounter, or when the service is done, and I just remain silent. Throughout the remainder of the day, all I can think about is the encounter, itself.
What types of encounters does God want us to have?
God wants us to have encounters daily. He wants us to walk out of his presence with power, or be delivered, or receive a prophetic word, or a healing. Later on throughout the days, I will post up different encounters that I’ve had with God.
Do you want to have an encounter with God?
It takes hunger to actually go after him.
“The level of hunger that you have determines the impact of the encounter with God,” Apostle Guillermo Maldonado.
