Have you been persecuted? That means that a breakthrough is coming!- Matthew 5:10

“Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”
Matthew 5:10

Have you been persecuted in your job? Have friends and teachers ridiculed you because of your faith in God? Has your family thought you were crazy because you are sold out for Jesus? If this relates to you, get ready, because a breakthrough is coming your way!

When I was in high school, I would receive stones from left to right in my Creative Writing class. My stories, no matter how tremendous and powerful they were, were never allowed to be published in the magazine. But before I gave my life to Christ, my secular poems and stories were highly esteemed, valued, and even published instantly! What was their excuse for not publishing my Christian articles? It was religious. But the odd part was when we wrote “6-word stories,” and there was a section in the magazine that would publish everyone student’s best 6-word story. Can you guess which one they chose?

“Religion destroyed me, Christ saved me.”

Can you smell the irony? Can you perceive the persecution? This was only in one class, and I’m sure many of you are no strangers to persecution wherever you go. Have you been persecuted? We cannot withstand persecution with the wrong attitude. Instead of complaining, arguing, and showing bad behaviors to those people, let’s be the difference; let’s be the true light of this world, because our season is about to come! We are about to receive the blessings of the warehouse of heaven because we are being persecuted for righteousness!
