“Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Thessalonians 5:23
I was amazed at this chapter of Thessalonians, because Paul wrote the letter regarding the day of the Lord. Sanctifying our bodies enables us to be without blame on the day of the Lord, as he said. We are the light, and it is important for us to continue to be the light walking into 2018. We cannot forget that although we have ended 2017, our life (and our race) is not finished yet.
In this time, God is giving us another opportunity to reach our purpose and destiny. The visions that didn’t come to past in the previous months, he surely will make them come to past throughout this year. There are blessings, callings, and prophecies that are contained in the storehouse of heaven. Therefore, January is the month of consecration. It is the month of going into the place of prayer and ask God for direction throughout the entire year. There are steps that he can only reveal them to us unless we devote ourselves to the Lord.
I believe that this is what the Bible says that he shares his secrets with those that fear him. Who are those that fear him? The ones that decide to live a holy life (the ones that dedicate themselves to Jesus this year). Jesus is still coming soon. His date is set for when he will return, whether we are paying attention to the times and the seasons or not.
If we fail to plan, we plan to fail. The way that we start this year will determine the way that we finish it. If we have no direction, we will not go anywhere. Therefore, during this month, we must obey the plans that God set for us. We must jot down every prophetic word that hasn’t been fulfilled yet. We must remember everything we want God to do in our lives. Finally, we must pray to live long enough to see these promises with our eyes. We must do our part, so that he can take care of his part.
